How to Signup for a melOn Account

baewhoDISCLAIMER: This tutorial is purely on how to sign up for a melOn account and like Red Velvet's songs. It is completely free and does not have streaming or purchase capability.
1. Go to http://www.melon.com/ & click (회원가입 / Signup)
2. Click in all three check boxes to agree before hitting the big green button at the bottom (다음 단계 / Next)
3. Fill out as follows, then hit the big green button at the bottom (다음 단계 / Next)
- P.S. I have no idea what the difference is between ID and Nickname so I just made mine the same so that I can login easily LOL
- If you get this red message instead of this green one, the Email/ID/Nickname is already taken!
- Example of a completed form
- Then hit the big green button at the bottom (다음 단계 / Next)
4. Click (인증번호 받기 / Receive Code) to get a confirmation code sent to your email. Put the code into the box once you've gotten it.
- The email will go to your SPAM folder if you're using g-mail, so check there! It sends right away
- Then click (인증하기 / Authentification) to get the green ! approval.
- Go down and enter the captcha
- Click (다음 단계 / Next).
5. Confirmation Page. Click (멜론 홈 / melOn Home) to go back to the home page
6. You've made an account and are logged in! Now go to the search bar and type (레드벨벳 / Red Velvet), then hit Enter
- 레드벨벳 or Red Velvet both work
7. Click to go to their artist page
8. Go crazy with the likes! Hit the star to become a fan, go to songs and hit the hearts on their songs to like them
9. Go to album (one tab over) and click on the hearts on their album / singles
10. Go to the album and rate it, review it, etc.!
And that is all you can do with the free account!
If you are interested in buying a streaming pass for melOn ($8.99 USD - lasts 1 month, unlimited song streaming, helps RV on the melOn chart) and have PAYPAL to send me the money, then I can buy the pass for you on your account for you to use. International fans must have a Korean apple account + card to purchase melOn subscriptions, so it might be easier to do this through me than to set it up yourself, but that is up to you!
